How should finished wine be stored?

These instructions on how to store wine applies not just to kit wines but to commercial wines as well.

If you bottled your wine with natural corks then the bottles need to be stored on their sides to keep the corks moist. If you used synthetic corks or screw top caps then the bottles can be stored upright.

The ideal storage temperature would be 55 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit It is best if the wine is stored at stable temperature with little or no fluctuations. Don't store the wine in a place of vibration, keep movement to a minimum. Wine needs to be stored in a dark place out of sunlight.

If you can't meet all these requirements then make sure you keep the wine stored in a dark place as cool as you can get it.
