Kit Wines We Have Made (1)

This blog contains some of the wine kits we have produced over the last few years. All of the kits we've produced aren't listed here but we'll report on them in a later blog.

  • Spagnol's 6 week Merlot:  This wine tasted "green" during the first 6 months but now 2 years later has shown body, depth and flavour reminiscent of expensive commercial wine.
  • Spagnol's Heritage 4 week Verdicchio: This Italian white was a great refreshing summer wine. It didn't age well, any wine left after 5 months was losing its vibrancy.
  • Spagnol's Vino Vida 4 week Bourgeron Rouge: This Bergeron is a copy of the French Burgundy. This was a lighter red that was dry and slightly acidic. we found it got better with age and the cherry flavour came through nicely.
  • Spagnol's 4 week Bordailles:   This white wine is a copy of the French Bordeaux. The light body of this wine made it a great summer wine. Refrigerated made it taste better.
  • Paklab 6 week Malbec:  This 23 liter wine kit came from Costco Wholesale. The Malbec wine produced was incredibly flavourful with great body and lasting finish. This wine has aged very well and we're sad to be running out of it.
  • Paklab 4 week Cabernet Sauvignon:  This was also a wine kit from Costco Wholesale. As a 4 week kit it turned out to be a nice drinkable wine. It lacked some of the depth of a 6 week kit but for $20 it was worth it!
